There’s a beautiful thing about bullying. Wait, hear me out!
What’s beautiful is that bullying is a learned behavior. This is exciting because it means it can be unlearned.
What’s even better is that character strengths like kindness, empathy, and respect can be learned as well!
Last week, I shared with you how I met one of my heroes Shane Koyczan.
We often think of heroes as people who may be older or financially successful, but the truth is that heroism is in all of us, at any age.
One of my grade 5 students faced bullying, just like Shane Koyczan. What’s heroic is her story. Oh, will you please tell us her story?
No, I won’t, because I won’t do it justice. But she will! Her story will live forever in her TEDx talk where she combines storytelling with song!
Her video is embedded on a website that she created, which also includes a compilation of resources that focus on bullying (songs, videos, books, games, websites).
